                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 5300
                   BLOCK OF ADAMS ROAD, BEING ON THE SOUTHEAST
                   LINE OF ADAMS ROAD AT LONGVIEW DRIVE FROM R-1
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO 0-1 OFFICE ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
             
              A tract of land located in the 5300 block of Adams Road,
              being on the southeast line of Adams Road at Longview
              Drive.
             
              Part of lot 48, Long-Hixson Subdivision, as shown by
              plat of record in plat book 14, page 150, R.O.H.C., and
              part of an unplatted tract, being the property described
              in deed book 2306, page 218, R.O.H.C., excepting
              therefrom that part of said property conveyed to the
              State of Tennessee for the relocation of Adams Road and
              Longview Drive, and the widening of Hixson Pike.  Tax
              Map No. 1000-E-3.
             
         from R-1 Residential Zone to 0-1 Office Zone.
              SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance 
shall
         take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the public
         welfare requiring it.
